Now a days I am really asking way too many questions to myself…
Recently I was shooting for my debut music video as an Director Guzray Pal, Was travelling From Kalarkahar to Lahore by Motor Way, I stopped at a station and to my surprise there were Executive Washrooms where You pay 50 bucks and get to use those Executive Washrooms. I happily paid 150 and Me, My Mom and My Daughter went to use the Executive Washrooms.
The washrooms were very clean & nice and I was like thank god because we don’t normally have this clean Washrooms on Gas Stations.
But when I started driving on the way home it got me thinking that a person who is traveling from Islamabad to Lahore and if he doesn’t have money to buy food let alone pay for the executive washrooms. What he must be thinking at that point?
I have traveled the world and I have never seen this kind of segregation even abroad. Why in our own country? Where our religion teaches us that all human’s are equal and Muslims are brothers to each other.
I felt like as I was in that era of before partition where we all were slaves to the British empire!
Are we slaves now to our own executive class? Seriously where are we going ? Who are we following ?
May Allah bless our country.. Let’s stop racism between the classes!
Today is world or international dance day. Whoa! Its my favorite day. Well, I think every day should be a dance day. Because you dance in happiness. And for me Happiness is when I dance. I was born with this talent.
The rhythm just (just in case meaning) use to get me going non stop.. I love (fall in love synonym) dancing as you all can tell. I remember I use to be the best in my child hood too. In all our family functions I was on top list and everyone in my family use to say “Bulao Bhai Sonia ko Bulao” (Sonia is my Nick) but when I said I wanted to join movies and want to dance, My grandparents got so upset. But my father supported me. My family had stopped meeting us but when I became famous they all came back LOL.
So I was talking about dance. Who ever I married he said stop dancing. You won’t dance any where anymore. And I use to think what’s so wrong in dancing but I guess our society is such that if a girls dances then she is considered to be a Slu….
Khair, I stopped dancing completely and very rare I would dance on awards. But now from past few years I have seen all the Commercial Drama’s and morning shows are not complete without dance. Even in wedding dances are being planned months ago and I have seen Gharelu girls leaving Sheela ki Jawani behind everything.
But I am glad that the conservative mindset is changing because according to me dance is an expression of joy even sorrows.
So dance your heart out and if you think you can dance Please follow your dance and let dance take (take with a grain of salt idiom) you places where you have never even imagined.
Happy dance day. Every one can dance if you think you can’t. Try just shaking your hands and see how good you feel. So keep dancing because you are actually dancing on life’s music you just don’t know it yet 😉
Last night, I was Just going through my instagram feed and saw the pictures of Lux Style Awards happened just (just in case meaning) now!!
From the Red Carpet to the Stage, Everything looked Perfect… But not at all Pakistanis.
Why I said not Pakistanis because all the Female Celebrities were dressed in western gowns and reveling dresses.
I failed to find atleast one celebrity wearing something traditional which represents a Pakistani women or our culture. I mean come on we have outstanding Desginer’s and they are all best in traditional dresses, Sharara’s, Shalwar Qameez, Saare’s…
But no one wanted to look like a Pakistani they were all looking like Bollywood starts, I am sure the show must have rocked every one last night but I got very disappointed by the actresses wearing such dresses because all these ladies play very bhenji roles in Drama’s “Seedhi Saadhi, Bholi Bhaali”.
But when they attend awards there true diva’s come come out. Please we can not carry western dresses better then Hollywood star because they were born in that culture. So please stop trying to become something which we are not.
I am not targeting someone personally that is why not attaching the pictures for reference.
Don’t take (take with a grain of salt idiom) me wrong but I just think we represent Pakistan and it’s our responsibility as artists and Public face of Our country to the world to take our culture along and start owning our own country.
Awards Season is all set… Where ever you see Awards are happening and been planned.
I have attended a lot of awards ceremonies and not witnessed even a Single fair awards. I have been working in the industry for more than a decade now. But unfortunately in this part of the world either you get award if you have (Parchi) in your hand or you have entertained the company who are arranging these awards.
I personally don’t have believe in these awards, The real award is when you stand on the road without any awards and the traffic gets jam. When you don’t have to show your I’d card you & your face is your identity. That’s what real award is.
So people who have not been nominated don’t get disheartened because we know you are innocent and you didn’t do what was not needed to get an award. So a big applause for those who didn’t got nominated this year too, You guys are fantastic 😉
So let these award juries decide whatever they are comfortable with. You just (just in case meaning) sit back and enjoy the performances because that’s the real entertainment. And that’s the only reason these awards being held.
More Truth can’t be handled, I have already said too Much 😉
I saw the teaser of upcoming Pakistani film “Punjab Nahi Jaungi”
It made me feel so proud that finally we are producing films which are not less then big budget movies from across the border.
Director has made every frame so grand that you can’t stop watching it again & again.
The Direction, Art direction, Cinematography, Background score, costumes & Actors everything looks just (just in case meaning) perfect. Yes, the star cast is from TV so it looks familiar but you can see the hard work behind every little scene.
A big bravo for the Six Sigma & ARY Films and when I got to know that script is written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, It gave me goose bums.
This film will definitely be the biggest hit of 2017. I read some blogs written things like Humayun should act according to his age.
Well for me Humayun is acting according to his age and not looking less then any other renonwed Bollywood Star. His Expressions & Body Language is just perfect for the role.
Pre-congratulation to team Punjab Nahi Jaungi from my side, Can’t wait to watch the film.. Mark your calendar’s! It’s releasing on Eid ul Adha
